Bethune-Cookman routed Savannah State for a 49-7 in Savannah, Georgia today.
With the win and Florida A&M’s victory over North Carolina, B-CU won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title and earned an automatic berth to the Football Championship Series (FCS) playoffs.
It’s the second time in three seasons that the Wildcats earned at least a share of the MEAC and made the playoffs. They earned a share of the MEAC title and went to the playoffs back in 2010.
Quentin Williams threw for over 100 yards with two scores and ran for another 100 while Isidore Jackson added 97 rushing yards with a score for B-CU.
