Today marks the eighth and final day of early voting in Volusia County, FL. Voters have until 7 p.m. to be in line to cast their ballots at one of the five early voting locations in the county.
Throughout the past month efforts from Democrat, Republican and non-partisan efforts have held campaign events and “Get-Out-The-Vote” measures to earn the vote of Central Floridians.
Local candidates have attended an array of forums across Daytona Beach at churches, civic centers and parks; First Lady Michelle Obama spoke before an enthusiastic group of 5000 at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center and Republican Presidential nominee, Gov. Mitt Romney and his running mate Senator Paul Ryan spoke to a group of thousands at the Daytona Beach Bandshell during Daytona Beach’s highly attended Biketoberfest.
Additionally the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Congresswoman Corrine Brown made several stops in Volusia County to rally voters to support President Obama.
