Bishop Derek Triplett of Hope Fellowship is asking Black male youth and men to come together once again at the Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural and Educational Center on Aug. 15. This time the discussion will center on “The Value of Black Men in America.’’

A similar talk took place last month at the center featuring Dr. Willie Kimmons, a motivational speaker and educator. The attendees were given advice on how to avoid being a victim of a crime and how to conduct themselves so they won’t end up in jail.

The program begins at 6:30 p.m. The center is located at 1000 Vine Street in Daytona Beach.
