Residents who are enrolled in Medicare or will qualify within the next few months are invited to free “Medicare 101” programs at three public libraries in August. The programs will be presented by the nonprofit organization SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders).
A representative will explain what is covered under Medicare, how individual parts differ from Medicare Advantage, and how to avoid potential financial penalties when opting in at a future date.
The programs will take place:
