There were plenty of Holy Week observances in the area last week. The Daytona Times was able to stop by services at two Daytona Beach churches.

The Daytona Beach Black Clergy Alliance hosted a noon Good Friday service on March 25 at Mount Bethel Baptist Church. Superintendent Derrick Harris of Master’s Domain Church of God in Christ was the program speaker. Other local ministers participated in a “Last Seven Words of Christ’’ reflection.

The alliance also hosted an Easter Sunrise Service at Kingdom Family Church in the Kingdom Life Center in Daytona Beach.
