The announcement came from the league office in Norfolk, Virginia.

Both B-CU players were critical in the Wildcats series sweep of conference foe Savannah State last weekend at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex.

Right fielder Nathan Bond, a senior from Orlando, led the Wildcats at the plate in average through four games this past week. Bond hit .647 on the week, adding 11 hits and a home run. He blasted a two-run homer against SSU in a come-from-behind win over the Savannah State Tigers in the series-opener.

First baseman Danny Rodriguez, a rookie from Pembroke Pines, picked up a couple of clutch hits over the course of the week in helping Bethune-Cookman to a 3-1 record on the spin. Rodriguez batted a team second-best .471 on the week, picking up eight hits and two RBIs with three runs scored himself.

At the first base position, he fielded at a .976 clip, supplying 37 putouts and three assists against a single error. Rodriguez collected three multi-hit games in four attempts on the week.
