Library to host workshop on researching grants
Individuals can learn how to use the Foundation Center’s online database to apply for grants at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Daytona Beach Regional Library at City Island, 105 E. Magnolia Ave., Daytona Beach.

This hands-on workshop will offer an opportunity to preview and use the database, which provides information on more than 10,000 grant makers that support individual grant projects.

Librarian Lorri Davis will explain how students, artists, researchers and other individual grant seekers can use the database to seek funds from foundations, corporations, and grant-making public charities.

Judge to speak at Mother’s Day Luncheon
Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church’s Lay Organization will host its 11th annual Mother’s Day Luncheon at noon on April 30.

Judge Dawn P. Fields of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court will be the speaker. The theme is “The Recognition, the Resourcefulness and the Responsibility of a Mother.’’

Tickets are $20. The church is at 449 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
