Midtown Motown continues at Cypress Park

The Four Tops. Temptations, Aretha Franklin. Residents who love the sounds of Motown have had a treat this summer with the Midtown Motown tribute concerts held monthly at Cypress Park, 981 George West Engram Blvd.

The July 23 show brought out talented artists who showcased the music of the Blues Brothers and Tina Turner.

The series, which started in April, winds up on Sept. 24. The Aug. 27 show is titled “Man in the Mirror’’ featuring a Michael Jackson tribute band. The Sept. 24 show is titled “Pocket Change’’ with music by a party funk, variety and soul band.

The Midtown Motown concert series is sponsored by Pepsi, City of Daytona Beach, Metro PCS, 99.5 the LOV, and the Southern Stone Event Group.

The series has been a family affair with activities for children. The pool has been open for swimming during concert times.
