This week’s top prep football games
Pine Ridge (2-2, 0-0) at Seabreeze (1-2, 0-1): This is a big district game for both teams. Last year’s game was close and this one could be too.

Spruce Creek (4-0, 1-0) at DeLand (1-2, 0-1): This is another big district game for local teams. The Bulldogs will have a tough time trying to upset the Hawks. Creek played two games and won both last week.

Flagler Palm Coast (3-0, 0-0) at Jacksonville Sandalwood (1-3, 0-1): The Bulldogs are off to a hot start but open the district on the road with a tough Saints squad.

University (1-1, 1-0) at Longwood Lyman (3-1, 0-1): The Titans are looking for another district win.

Mainland (1-2, 0-0) at Deltona (1-2, 0-1): Both teams have lost back-to-back games. The Buccaneers haven’t looked as formidable this season but they will still be a tall task for the Wolves to overcome.

Taylor (3-0) at Warner (1-1) (Monday, Oct. 2): This is a makeup game. Both teams need a win to earn points for the new playoff format. Both teams also like to run the football.
