Halifax Heart-Auxiliary recognizes cart driver

Albert Williams Sr. of Daytona Beach has been named the Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteer of the Month for February by the Halifax Health-Auxiliary.
 
Williams has been a dedicated Halifax Health volunteer since June 2009.  In total, Williams, who volunteers weekly as a courtesy cart driver at Halifax Health Medical Center’s Daytona Beach campus, has donated more than 1,722 hours of service.
 
“Mr. Williams is an excellent ambassador for Halifax Health.  He is always very friendly, and no matter the weather, he is always there each Wednesday to assist with pick-ups, drop-offs and directions,” said Tangela Boyd, public relations specialist for Halifax Health. 

“His dedication to Halifax Health and our patients and visitors is much appreciated,’’ she added.
 
Halifax Health-Auxiliary is a501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to serve the community through partnership with Halifax Health. The auxiliary has been operating since 1932 and serves over 400 volunteer members contributing more than 80,000 hours annually. 

Halifax Health-Auxiliary also assists with general fundraising efforts through its gift shop, sponsored sales and partnership with First Uniform – an in-house health care apparel and accessory store.
