Volusia libraries to host budgeting workshops

Having emergency savings may be the most important way to stay afloat financially.

Scott Doss, a financial literacy counselor for Fifth Third Bank, will discuss the basics of saving your hard-earned cash during free programs at two branches of the Volusia County Public Library system.

He will speak at:

  • 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 E. Magnolia Ave.
  • 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1001 City Center Circle

Doss will explain how to create a budgeting process that will get you on track to meet your personal financial goals. He will also offer tips on saving – not matter your income level, amount of debt or fear of the process.

Registration is not required for these free programs, which are part of Money Smart Week.
