Daytona 100 community bike ride is March 23

The City of Daytona Beach and the Daytona Beach Police Department will host the third annual Daytona 100 Bike Ride and Community Day from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Midtown Cultural & Educational Center, 925 George W. Engram Blvd., Daytona Beach.

The Daytona 100 is a free event geared toward children between the ages of 8 and 12.

During the event, children will have the opportunity to join staff and officers of the police department, including school resource officers, on an easy bike ride in the neighborhood surrounding the Midtown center.

Helmets and closed toe shoes are required.

After the ride, children and the community can enjoy food, games, music and other festivities at the center.
