“We are excited to bring our 10th Annual Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Women’s Conference,” said Dr. Winifred M. Johnson, Assistant Professor of History. In the words of conference creator, the late Dr. Cheryll Hardison-Dayton, “The purpose of the conference is to honor women, faculty members, students and women within the global community who continue Dr. Bethune’s legacy of faith and leadership.”
“Panels will align with the conference theme set by the National Women’s History Alliance,” Johnson said. “Panels will include a variety of topics such as women’s health issues, human trafficking and gender abuse, women in politics, and diversity and the intersection of race, gender and religion.”
