Daytona adjusts to COVID-19

Volusia County School System school bus drivers and staff members made a stop on Heineman Street as they make sure the kids in the community eat lunch every day. Bus drivers ride through the neighborhood and deliver lunches to youth throughout Daytona Beach.
Campbell Middle School staff members and volunteers helped the community by giving out grocery bags of food as well as gift cards to local residents.
The Career Source Flagler / Volusia job office was closed due to the coronavirus. Application forms were placed outside of their front door for people to apply for unemployment benefits.
Someone discarded this disposable glove on the Clyde Morris sidewalk which is in City Commissioner Dannette Henry’s Zone 5. Residents had consistently complained about trash in the area prior to the virus outbreak.
