SPECIAL TO THE DAYTONA TIMES
The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia)’s WIC program continues to welcome families.
In order to limit exposure and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, some Volusia County WIC clients may now receive services over the phone without having to come to one of the WIC office locations.
Clients are encouraged to comply with social distancing practices by completing certifications, EBT card reloads, and follow-up visits by phone and e-mail.
Clients who are currently certified on WIC can expect a telephone call from a staff member to discuss upcoming appointments. If your phone number has changed, update this information immediately by calling 866-942-3663.
Clients with certain circumstances that require a clinic visit will be greeted at the door outside the clinic to receive curbside assistance at these locations:
- South Keech Street location, 421 S. Keech St., Daytona Beach
- Holsonback location, 1845 Holsonback Drive, Daytona Beach
- Orange City location, 775 Harley Strickland Blvd., Orange City
- New Smyrna Beach location. This location is temporarily not providing services.
