Help us fund COVID-19 coverage in our community

For months, the Daytona Times has covered stories on the COVID-19 pandemic and how it’s impacting Daytona Beach and surrounding areas.

We have specifically focused on how the virus has disproportionately affected the Black community.

Our small but tenacious staff is dedicated to continuing to tell your stories of courage, hope, faith and resilience. But we need your help to keep on the job and to add resources to provide more in-depth coverage on the coronavirus.

The Daytona Times  has partnered with the non-profit Local Media Foundation ( to enhance our coverage. The COVID-19 Local News Fund, a program administered by the foundation, is accepting donations on our behalf at All of the tax-deductible donations are directly earmarked for coverage of COVID-19.

Please support local journalism and the Black press. Make a donation today at

Along with financial support, we also need your ideas. So, please email us at  and tell us about those you know who have been affected by the virus, essential workers we should highlight, and anything else that will help us to better serve you and your community.
