Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the expansion of the state’s partnership with Publix to establish COVID-19 vaccination sites throughout the state. On Jan. 12, the governor announced additional participating Publix locations, including 22 stores in Volusia County.
There also are four stories designated in Flagler County.
Only health care personnel, residents and staff in long-term health care facilities, and persons 65 years of age and older are eligible to receive the vaccine through Publix. All vaccinations by Publix at their locations are by appointment only.
For a list of participating locations and to make an appointment, visit www.publix.com/covid-vaccine.
Volusia County continues to partner with the Department of Health in Volusia County on COVID-19 vaccination events. Additional events will be announced as the health department receives vaccines.
Residents can text “VolusiaReady” to 99411 to sign up for CodeRED and receive COVID-19 vaccine updates from the county.
For general questions regarding COVID-19 vaccines in Volusia County, call 866-345-0345 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
For clinical questions regarding vaccinations, call the Florida Department of Health at 386-274-0500 and press # for coronavirus information.
Can you possibly post which vaccine each location is giving? Moderna, Pfizer, etc… Thanks!
It seems I’m always a day or 2 late hearing about when and where the vaccines are taking place. Are there any going on now in Volusia or nearby? Any idea when Publix will get more?
